Chéri Vausé taught Theology for twenty-five years. Since retirement was not an option, writing stories that was once her avocation became her new career. Four books later, she decided to write shorts and promptly published two in anthologies. What's in store for her in the future? More shorts, novellas, and maybe a screenplay. Now that she's at a new publishing house, things are about to break wide open.

Chéri lives in Central Texas on a small ranch with her husband and two dogs. When a duck showed up in their yard and decided to stay, they began to keep ducks, more for their amusement than for food. They are an endless source of wonder, laughs, and lessons about nature.
